It’s an honor to speak at the Shah Alam City Forum at the Malaysia Urban Forum today, together with Tuan Hj. Noraznizam Alias, Ts Dr Siti Zahirah Ishak and Datin Tpr Hjh Mazrina Khalid! Thank you MBSA for the invitation.
I am grateful to be able to share with the audiences a topic that is close to my heart, #sustainableurbanmobility. I have shared some snapshots from #H2020Inclusion project (A research project I was involved in, during my time in Rupprecht Consult GmbH), and have highlighted the solutions that could be done by different actors to close the mobility gap. Not forgeting to advocate for the #superblock design strategy, as an effective solution in activating streetspace, and reducing traffic congestion.
It was thrilled to see that we come together this time to discuss, not only about the problem, but also the first-last mile solutions. Although there are still a lot of work to be done, and there is no one size fit all solution, but I do believe that placing people at the forefront, is one of the answers. 😇
I must say that: I am really happy to see that the solution-oriented discussion is happening now!
Thank you for all the enablers in my urban mobility journey! ☺️

Kudos to the organizer URBANICE MALAYSIA and Shah Alam city council. It was a pleasant surprise to see the presence of the sign language interpreter! To continue building a more inclusive society! 🙌🏻
